Celebramos el Día del Libro desde la Biblioteca Municipal

Con motivo de la celebración del Día del Libro que se celebra en el día de hoy, el Ayuntamiento de San Miguel de Abona, a través de su concejalía de Cultura, quiere recordar y dar visibilidad, una vez más, a uno de los edificios más emblemáticos de nuestro municipio: la Biblioteca Pública Municipal. Un edificio de más de 200 años que se encuentra ubicado dentro del conjunto histórico de San Miguel de Abona y que, en su momento, también cumplió las funciones de cárcel, celebrando los juicios en la Plaza de la Iglesia.

Esta casa ha sido sede del Ayuntamiento, Escuela de Niños y Academia de Enseñanzas Medias, vivienda particular y, desde hace más de 40 años, Biblioteca Pública Municipal. Cuatro décadas regalando aventura, historia, conocimiento, intriga, amor, crímenes, comedia… Cuatro décadas ofreciendo un servicio en el que el libro siempre ha sido el protagonista y lo que ocurre dentro de él… sólo quien lo lee lo sabe.

Hoy, los niños y niñas que acuden a diario a sus actividades de Técnicas de Estudio en la Biblioteca Municipal, se han querido asomar a esta ventana digitan y ofrecernos un vídeo con una lectura que conmemora este DÍA DEL LIBRO.
